Pranab Mukherjee, ex-president of India, dies in Delhi Hospital.

Pranab Mukharjee, India's former president and one of the country's most admired political leaders, died on Monday 31st August 2020, at the age of 84.

He had suffered a fall at Rajaji Marg house and had been operated to remove a blood clot in his brain on august 10. On Monday, Doctors warned that there was a decline in his condition and he was in septic shock due to an infection in his lung.

In the afternoon, his son Abhijit Mukharjee made the sad announcement by tweet.

Sad to hear about the unfortunate demise of Bharat Ratna former President Shri Pranab Mukharjee. He rose from humble beginnings to occupy the country's highest constitutional position through hard work, discipline, and dedication.
